Trinity Life Center, our parent organization, has been in the downtown area of Las Vegas for 60 years. We have a strong passion for the people of Las Vegas. Senior Pastor Randy Greer has been the leader for our church for 11 years. Our vision is to implement programs that foster community development and enrichment. Thus, the City Impact Center has been developed to accomplish this vision!
City Impact Center has a weight room with weight machines, tread mills and exercise bikes that for the fitness programs offered.
As part of our physical wellness contribution we offer free medical care to children ages 0-18 years old; among the services provided are immunizations; sport, daycare and camp physicals; vision and hearing tests. Through our partnership with Operation Hope and Dr. Elliot Shin, we are trying to address the lack of health care access among the uninsured population of Las Vegas by providing free primary care services to all ages. The clinic is staffed by volunteers including Board Certified Physicians, pharmacists and Registered Nurses. By September we expect to be able to offer dental services to adults as well.
But City Impact doesn’t only improve people’s lives physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. Classes are offered for adults that range from practical education classes like GED and English as a Second Language, to Anger Management and programs such as Celebrate Recovery that help individuals who are struggling with substance abuse. With all efforts we purpose to help people change their lives for the better. We believe that when you help people change, you are helping your community change and making a real difference in this city.
City Impact also has partnered with Neighborhood Family Services who provide job referrals, work card referrals, computer classes, job training and more. We offer Angel Food Program which is quality, nutritious packaged food at a significant discounted price. Also Calvary Downtown Outreach provides food to low income residents in the area every Wednesday and Thursday at our City Impact facilities.
